Upon our dawning, divergent paths
a long way on, light of day
where the heart aches, stolen nights
apart from us on many eves, a valediction…a place no one would ever believe
a divergent evolution no doubt.
all that you build, crumbles
all that you measure, songless heart
a long way from here, a sweet morning yet to awaken to
on your mind, deleterious thinking
on your hands, undesirables on the downlow.
Will those hands ever wash clean?
Perhaps not this eve,
but one eve all will be unveiled.
On your knees boy,
the roots of all life start there on the forgiving soils.
On my soul-driven path, glorious flora
from here, no going back.
