Be Kind

Always. With small effort it can be done even when at times circumstances are not stacked in our favor…be kind and provide a heartfelt gesture or an endearing compliment to the living around us. Riding down a floor in an elevator, “I blurted, you do incredible work—it’s inspirational” anyone who can carve and create beauty out of a raw space with their hands is an earthly muse to me and so I made it known. He accepted it modestly and gratefully. And the following day walking past a flock one shouted, “you look great.” I kindly accepted the avouchment despite my fatigue and then she said, “and you know it.” I laughed. We both laughed. And that’s how you do kindness.
