We certainly have been seeing the white backdrop this week. It’s the first year since we’ve been around that it’s more than a wonderful delicate dusting that melts away as swiftly as it cascaded in. The flakes have more of a grip on the surfaces and make it more enchanting to navigate through the broken spirits of the community. Whilst we found ourselves on the hill again and exchanged smiles with others, it was good to see their faces and not feel their heavy breaths. According to the forecast, we will be on the hill the rest of the week enjoying our time with this fleeting gift from the heavens. Someone was feeling a whole lot of independence today, so I gazed at the sky, lamenting my fate. The mellifluously floating clouds and the low soaring hawk under the brilliance of a consecutive day of an exposed sun made it clear I would be heard…for the light is here.
Enjoyable, esp. for someone in So Cal. 🙂
