I left this little guy on the deck a little longer than I should have to soak up the rays before its winter spot indoors. Needless to say, its veiny leaves mislaid, every one of them. The bare look wasn’t becoming but with vigilant attention not only did the leaves sprout back but the sumptuous, sweet prizes flourished within months. Admirable little fellow indeed. I await until they mature into the lush interiors and readied to be plucked from the tree…the only way to savor these precious bounties. At long last, winter resides and we the people of the soil can regenerate…there is vitality in this transformative event. Let’s have a go at it again, shall we?
