Summer is Watermelon Season

Have I told you about my summer home? I’m dreaming of it and it looks something like this. Minimalist living is a given when in a straw-hat most of the day. Shoes not permitted and certainly no clutter. Not that I won’t have sentimental items, in fact, if it’s going to have its place on the wall, tabletop or shelf it’s going to have a story. Board games on outdoor coffee tables, beach towels strewn on the railing and half-empty thirst quenchers in hands. Chilled wedges of watermelon available on demand because it is melon season after all. Anyone else having a hard time finding one with seeds? I won’t touch it if it’s seedless. Some things should be left alone, like seeds and our DNA.
