Look what we got today, not a whole lot but a significant amount to call it the first heavenly fall of the season. Light and breezy is how they all floated down. It’s a mixed emotion this first wintery wonderland, enthralling at first but not so fun when all your digits freeze. We do like powdery hills. Some of us like to go full speed ahead without stops or turns, others like to zigzag along to the bottom and black-diamond-girl, well she’s just getting the hang of it. She’ll zigzag and once we hit the steep slope it’s in between my snowplough skis all the way down the last leg. I can’t do too many black diamond runs with a couple of extra skis in between mine but girlfriend could go on forever like this.
