Baby Bear lures me out in search of fireflies. It’s a loyal bunch that turn up into our woods. As the darkness deepens, they don their light show and I’m rather content as the heat dissipates into blackness. There are only a few, and she’s visually distraught about it not being the spectacle she remembered from the previous year. I feel her disappointment. Over a year and public service figures refuse to keep their oath to defend and hold the Constitution. Instead, they continually abuse their powers as they cling to distracting and dividing us. What is it about liberty that we are trying to atone for?
