Uncovered and Overdue

This song came up on my playlist the other day. Lots of old patterns surfacing and playing out alongside Aries New Moon. If I had a coin for every time I heard his “never again” (oh for the purpose of growth.) That whole turmoil…I ain’t haven’t it no more, never again is right. I’ll spare you any more pleas and the preposterous claims, decades old of conjurations undermining or your preferred term, emasculating, our sacred union. It was never there was it? You decided so in your youth and I was played the fool all in the name of love. Or was I? My strive to a more fettle state repelled you…could it be why your desire for tautness only bending for your make-believe never to dare surface, making strides only in the name of avoiding the struggle and to keep the “peace.” Never a unit became of us because of your insatiable destination addiction. As a result, time to pay the price has arrived, not only for the both of us, for they fall with us. At least you can’t use your pain to dig and twist at my heart anymore, I kicked out all the bitterness and hatred. It’s in repair mode impossible for the past to repeat and striving to be fine fettled once again.

Policy of Truth

You had something to hide
Should have hidden it, shouldn’t you
Now you’re not satisfied
With what you’re being put through

It’s just time to pay the price
For not listening to advice
And deciding in your youth
On the policy of truth

Things could be so different now
It used to be so civilized
You will always wonder how
It could have been if you’d only lied

It’s too late to change events
It’s time to face the consequence
For delivering the proof
In the policy of truth

Never again
Is what you swore
The time before

Never again
Is what you swore
The time before

Now you’re standing there tongue tied
You better learn your lesson well
Hide what you have to hide
And tell what you have to tell

You’ll see your problems multiplied
If you continually decide
To faithfully pursue
The policy of truth

Never again
Is what you swore
The time before…” – M.L. Gore
